Electro acupuncture is a therapeutic technique in which an electric current, almost as weal as bio metric current, is supplied to the needle inserted into the acupoints to strengthen the stimulation. Mostly the current supplied about 6 – 13 volt (below 40 volt), 0.01mA – 0.5mA. In this technique, the electro machine (stimulator) is used with electrodes, where is adjust as negative polar and positive polar.

Electro acupuncture can act to adjust the body system, increase analgesic and sedative effects.

In therapy, firstly we choose small amount of current and short duration, then high current and long duration. It depends on the tolerance of stimulation, produces soreness or numbness.

We can supply as low frequency and high frequency and according to frequency type, we can apply intermittent wave, alternate wave, sawtooth wave, dense wave.
